Teresa asks tough questions of the Pension Regulator’s role in new automatic workplace pension scheme

On Wednesday 11 January the Pensions Regulator came before the Work and Pensions Committee as part of an enquiry into the Government’s new programme to automatically enrol people on low incomes into a workplace pension scheme.

Teresa asked tough questions about potential conflicts of interest, the adequacy of the fines for those employers who fail to comply and whether the regulator has enough staff and power to regulate properly.

The uncorrected evidence of the session, including Teresa’s questions are available here. A video of the session is available here.
