Teresa urges constituents to share their views on the new South Eastern rail franchise

Teresa is urging constituents to share their views on the new South Eastern rail franchise, due to begin in April 2014, by responding to a consultation document published this week by the Department for Transport.

The South Eastern Franchise Consultation is seeking to determine ways to improve the current level of service, especially given that the franchise will be significantly affected by the rebuilding of London Bridge Station as part of the Thameslink Programme.

Teresa said:

“I know my constituents who use South Eastern trains to get to and from work every day won’t need much prodding to take part in this consultation on franchising. We all know we need to see big improvements in the train information given to passengers, more carriages to ease overcrowding, and performance targets that can actually be measured against most commuters’ experiences.”
