Teresa sounds a cautionary note about new Bexley Thames Crossing

Teresa spoke to the Bexley Times this week about her concerns that the proposed new Bexley Thames Crossing will incur a charge, unlike the current Woolwich ferry it will replace which is free to use. Teresa first raised concerns back in January but details about the cost of using the new ferry have not been forthcoming.

She told the Bexley Times:

“I’m concerned about the new ferry service because I don’t think it will be free. The Mayor’s office haven’t confirmed if it will be and I’m afraid the cost of it might be shifted onto residents.”

The second consultation phrase runs from Monday (October 29) to February 1 next year. For more information visit www.tfl.gov.uk/rivercrossings.Drop-in sessions for people in Bexley to ask questions will be held at Thamesmead Library on November 17, Abbey Wood Community Centre on November 19 and Bexleyheath Broadway Shopping Centre on December 6.
