Teresa calls on constituents to vote to transform the Thames Path

Teresa is calling on constituents to vote to transform the Thames Path in Thamesmead as part of the Mayor’s Big Green Poll.

The Royal Borough of Greenwich scheme has been chosen as one of seven green projects eligible to compete for a share of £1million funding from the Mayor of London.

Funding would enable to Royal Borough of Greenwich to turn a stretch of the Thames Path into a popular route for walkers, cyclists, and commuters. The money could also be used to make improvements to the path, create riverside lookout points, green havens, and more.

Teresa said:

“I fully support proposals put forward by the Royal Borough of Greenwich to transform the Thames Path, and I would urge constituents to vote in this poll.

The Thames Path has fantastic views of the river, and with the right funding it could be made into a bustling route and a place for residents to enjoy.”

You can vote for funding to transform the Thames Path online. Voting is open until Monday 2nd March 2015 and a decision will be made about the allocation of funding after this time.
